DQ197/40Y multi-purpose hydraulic power tongs are open-end power tongs used for loading and unloading 2 7/8″～4″ drill pipes, 4″～4 1/2″ tubing and 4 1/2″～7 3/4″ casing in oilfield drilling and well repair operations. The tongs head adopts a brake band braking method, with large braking torque, simple operation, and easy adjustment and replacement. The shell is made of low-alloy manganese steel plate, which increases the overall rigidity of the power tongs. Jaw plates, tooth seats, and gears of various specifications are made of alloy steel forgings and are heat-treated to ensure that the power tongs have sufficient strength at maximum torque.

The reset knobs of the main and backup tongs are designed as reset handles, which are flexible to operate and reset easily and safely. The backup tongs adopt extended front and rear guide rods, which can clamp the coupling or joint as well as the pipe body. The main tongs are equipped with a self-locking linkage device between the safety door and the hydraulic valve group. When the safety door is in the open position, the manual reversing valve handle of the power tongs is in the locked position, which is convenient and safe to operate (this device is a patented product developed by our company).

The whole machine is equipped with a hydraulic torque indicating instrument, and has a torque meter's revolution measurement interface and a torque meter installation interface for users to choose and use, making it easy to realize computer management.
