DQ140/20YB multi-purpose hydraulic power tongs are open-end power tongs used for making and unmaking 2 3/8”-3 1/2” drill pipes, 2 7/8”-4 1/2” tubings and 4 1/2”-5 1/2” casings in oilfield workover operations.

The complete set of power tongs is composed of a main tong and a hydraulic backup tong. The main and backup tongs can be clamped separately and flexibly. The reset mechanism of the main and backup tongs is designed as a reset handle, which is flexible to operate and resets easily and safely. The tail of the main tong is connected with a rigid bracket and equipped with an extended front guide rod. The main and backup tongs are stable and reliable. The maximum clamping distance can reach more than 600mm. The optimal torque required for making up various steel grade pipes can be obtained by adjusting the oil supply pressure.

The main tongs are equipped with a self-locking linkage device between the safety door and the hydraulic valve group. When the safety door is in the open position, the power tongs receive the reversing valve handle and are in the locked position, which is convenient and safe to operate (this device is a patented product developed by our company).

The whole machine is equipped with a hydraulic torque indicating instrument, and has a torque meter's revolution measurement interface and a torque meter installation interface for users to choose and use, making it easy to realize computer management.
