DQ140/20Y hydraulic power tongs are open-end power tongs used for quick threading in oilfield workover operations. They are suitable for tubing, small drill pipes and small casings in the range of Ø73 to Ø140 (2 7/8″ to 5 1/2″).

The main and backup tongs are connected by extended guide rods, and the backup tongs can clamp both the drill pipe joint and the pipe body. The hydraulic system control adopts a double hydraulic valve group to ensure the reliable operation of the main and backup tongs. The oil supply pressure can be adjusted to obtain the optimal torque required for the make-up of various steel grade pipes. The jaw plates, tooth seats, and gears of various specifications are made of alloy steel forgings and are heat-treated to ensure that the power tongs have sufficient strength at the maximum torque.

The main tongs are equipped with a self-locking linkage device between the safety door and the hydraulic valve group. When the safety door is in the open position, the operating handle of the power tongs hydraulic valve group is in the locked position, which makes the operation convenient and safe (this device is a patented product developed by our company).

The whole machine is equipped with a hydraulic torque indicating instrument, and has a torque meter's revolution measurement interface and a torque meter installation interface for users to choose and use, making it easy to realize computer management.
